E. Scott Anderson

Mr. Anderson is an experienced software industry and enterprise business systems executive.  His diverse 25-year background includes deep industry experience in Multi-channel Retail, Internet Commerce, Direct Marketing, Distribution/Logistics/Fulfillment, and Manufacturing.  Mr. Anderson has extensive business management, professional services, systems management and planning, and technology experience.

 

Mr. Anderson’s principal role at FoundryLogic is to help clients assess, develop, and implement business software solutions for complex enterprise IT projects.  From 1996 to 2001, Mr. Anderson was VP Professional Services and then General Manager of Assist Cornerstone Technologies, delivering a full-suite of commerce management software, professional services, and web solutions to direct marketing and retail industry customers.

 

Mr. Anderson’s representative professional experience includes:

 

§         Managed key aspects of retail requirements definition, system selection, business process engineering, and integration to PeopleSoft financials on a large-scale event merchandising implementation for International Speedway Corporation (NASCAR events).  Multi-channel customer database integration and targeted direct marketing were strategic objectives of the project.

§         Proposed and managed development of retail point-of-sale integration to SAP/Epiphany enterprise systems for SONY Latin America (11 countries).  Customer database integration for direct marketing and warranty service was a primary objective.

§         From 2002 through 2003, served as President/COO for Blue Frogg Enterprises and Sequel Entertainment, which were holding companies engaged in acquiring and rebuilding distressed Internet properties.  Negotiated acquisitions, asset purchases and sales, and authored business plans and private placement memorandums.  Directed web-site conversions, upgrades, and marketing events on DelphiForums.com, eHow.com, and Sandbox.com which significantly increased the value of these properties for later divestiture.

§         As General Manager of Assist Cornerstone Technologies (a division of Cayenta, Inc.), directed multi-channel retail system sales, application design, and implementation for over 50 web and multi-channel retail customers, including such well-known companies as:  Kenneth Cole, 800.com (acquired by CircuitCity), Atkins Nutritionals, Dean & DeLuca, Oreck, and Icon Health & Fitness (parent of NordicTrack, HealthRider, and ProForm brands).

§         Established and incubated a “web-agency” as a new division of Assist Cornerstone – the unit was later spun-out as a separate, 20-person, web development and marketing communications firm (Axis41, Inc. in Salt Lake City).

§         Spearheaded sales and development of new, full-service, “rented” software and services (ASP) offerings at Assist Cornerstone – resulting in over 13 new e-Commerce customers in 2000.

§         Directed retail software product and services strategies at Assist Cornerstone that established the company as a leading e-Commerce and multi-channel retail software vendor, which resulted in a successful buyout of the company by Cayenta, Inc. in 1999.  After the acquisition, Mr. Anderson provided executive supervision for all three of Cayenta’s software acquisitions (Utility/Municipal billing, Plant Maintenance, and Assist multi-channel commerce software).  Implemented common sales and marketing strategies, product development architectures, and business practices across each business unit.

§         Senior IT executive (CIO/Chief Architect) and Logistics Director at Universal Frozen Foods from 1990 to 1995 – a $300 million food company with multi-state manufacturing and nationwide distribution (acquired by Lamb-Weston in 1994).  Member of the executive committee.  Initiated numerous ongoing technology improvements, including implementation of new corporate-wide manufacturing and accounting systems, network and client-server system architectures (converting from mainframes), and distributed plant management and data collection systems.  Simultaneously responsible for all corporate Logistics functions including customer service, production planning, inventory management, nationwide warehousing, transportation and distribution.

§         IT Consulting Manager at Price Waterhouse 1988-89.  Presented, proposed, and managed numerous successful customer IT projects utilizing the Price Waterhouse systems management methodology (SMM).

§         Led highly successful 2-year project to implement new manufacturing systems (MRP/ERP) as a Systems Analyst for Baker-Hughes Corporation.  Previous duties as an Inventory Planner included major product line responsibilities to manage inventory levels and production planning.

§         Assistant Operations Officer and Assistant Chief Engineer on a US Navy warship.  Two overseas deployments.  Responsible for the performance and conduct of over 70 men.  Awarded the Navy Achievement Medal for superior performance of duty.

 

Mr. Anderson received his Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Utah where he received the Outstanding Scholar Award.  He is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
